NOTE:
- The torque values listed only apply when using the ARP Moly Assembly Lube.
- The head stud torque value listed is different than in ARP's included instructions because of some apparent head gasket
sealing problems. These are the proven torque specs for a leak-free HG.
- The old flywheel bolt package only includes six flywheel bolts instead of the eight that more than 95% of all 4A-Gs
use. I've since notified ARP of this discrepancy and they have a new P/N that includes eight bolts.
- Chase all thread holes w/ the proper thread cleaner/tap to insure a clean and consistent torque reading
- Install the ARP studs hand-tight only
- Apply the ARP Moly Lube liberally to all fastener surfaces; under the bolt/nut head, threads, holes, both sides of washers, etc.
- Use a torque wrench that is known and proven to be accurate
- ARP's fasteners need to be "torque cycled" (torque, release) a minimum of three times to assure proper clamping loads
