Note: This applies to all '88-'91 Corollas including sedans and coupes.
Here's where you can safely lift/support the AE92 chassis:
Front: Engine lower crossmember. On the GT-S (and maybe the SR5) coupe, there is a little "hump"
that sticks out on the crossmember. Not safe for a jackstand!
Sides: Look underneath the rocker panel. You'll see these "tabs" about 5-inches long that are
cut out from the undercarriage. There are 2 "tabs" per side--one in front of the rear wheel well
and another behind the front wheel well. Set the jack stands or jack right in the middle of the
tabs.
Rear: Rear suspension subframe. Trace the rear suspension arms to where they meet in the middle
of the car. You'll see a little "hump" where you can set a jack. Not safe for a jackstand!
