You can see the elegant 4-2 collector. There are no harsh bends or reducers in this product. I
had to grind down some of the pipe passing through the flange because it was sticking out a little
bit. This would prevent the supplied gasket (some cheap-ass pressed cardboard, but it does its job)
f/ forming a nice seal. Later on, I'm gonna make some copper sandwich gaskets... (Read: when I get
off my lazy butt...)

The pre-cat pipe. You can see how long the neck is for the O2 sensor mount. I'm gonna cut off
around 1 cm and re-weld it. Notice how the intermediate pipe mates to the pre-cat pipe--it's one
of those "ball and socket" types.

I wasn't too keen on using just straight bolts/nuts to clamp down the intermediate and pre-cat
pipes. When the pipe hasn't had a chance to heat or is experiencing some thermal variation, it'll
grow and contract, so I ghetto-rigged this setup. I used (2) 3"-long bolts, some washers, (2)
high rate springs, and (2) lock nuts to keep the flex joint nice and happy. No exhaust leaks
whatsoever. Plus, it just looks cool. =)

I dunno why I kept this bad pic... =) Oh yeah, check out the extra metal left over f/ the O2
sensor mount's neck (bottom of pipe, that silver fleck). I just used a screwdriver to scrape it
off.
