While I was rebuilding the motor on my car, I relied on my factory service manual (AKA the "Big Green Book" or "BGB") for all of the specs. That way, there'd be no doubt as to whether or not my new 4A-GE would run perfectly for a long time. Now, you have access to all of the relevant specs that you'd need for something as basic as a tune up to a full-blown let's-rip-the-car-apart-and-start-from-the-ground-up job. Well, almost... =)
Just follow the link that you're interested in. In most cases, I've provided the service clearance specs and the torque specs. For the most part, all of the numbers are taken directly from the BGB. In some cases, I've substituted torque specs and/or numbers that work based on my experience.
If you're starting to look into doing an engine rebuild yourself, don't forget to check out my experience with rebuilding my 4A-GE.
DISCLAIMER: I've tried my best to copy down the specs as accurately as possible. But, use them at your own risk. If you do catch a mistake, email me and let me know so that I can fix it. If you don't know how to do your own oil changes, most of the following mods and procedures will scare you and subsequently damage the car and/or cause personal bodily harm up to death. If you have doubts, stop, and get someone with more experience. I take no responsibility whatsoever for any damages caused by YOU.
