Transmission Rebuild

A closer look of the transaxle ("front" or "right hand") case. You can see the speedo drive. The differential bearing race and output shaft bearings are brand new in this pic.

The transmission ("rear" or "left hand") case. You'll notice that the diff bearing race and shim are missing. I needed to get the next thicker shim to get the diff bearing preload back into spec.

The reassembly process begins. The 2nd gear needler roller bearing, # 1 shift hub, and 1st gear are on the output shaft in this pic.

Here, 2nd gear and 3rd driven gear are being pressed onto the output shaft.
