If you're a freak like me who loves anything that moves on wheels, the mere mention of Laguna Seca will make you drool. Okay, maybe that's just me... =) I usually only attend the Super Bike races at Laguna Seca, but I decided to see what different high-velocity objects would look like on the track. I was treated to an ear-splitting, high octane burning, heart attack inducing weekend. Yup, I was in heaven! It was nice seeing all of the GT cars in real life as opposed to just seeing and reading about them in magazines. Unless hard-core auto magazines start dabbing some 110 octane race fuel onto their pages, there just ain't no substitute. I've gotta admit, though... Once you see Super Bikes going at it at Turn 2 and The Corkscrew, even the ALMS race cars look tame. Besides, it's just plain exciting seeing the bikes flick over left-to-right at The Corkscrew.
I took 4 rolls of 40 exposure film and picked out the more interesting ones. I prob'ly would've taken more, but running back and forth between The Cork Screw (turns 8/8A), the grandstands at the Start/Finish Line, and the Paddock Area wasn't easy.

One of the Diablo GT-Rs going out for another practice session. One of the teams let me lift one front wheel and it surprised the hell outta me that the big-ass wheel/tire combo was lighter than my dinky 15" combo on my Corolla!!!
