My family's annual vacation this year was at Mázatlan, Mexico. Mázatlan is located almost directly East of Cabo San Lucas, so the climates between the two towns are very similar. As such, we were treated to very favorable weather. How's 85°-90°F sound? And the water temps on the beach were to die for! Even scrawny ol' me was comfortable swimming in the ocean with just shorts on. Try that in Monterey, CA where the water's usually in the low-60s!
We stayed at the Inn at Mázatlan. Papagayo, one of the best restaurants in the area, was right in our backyard, too!
This time around, Claire's boyfriend, Ian, came along with us. Unfortunately, he couldn't fit the whole 7 days in because of work commitments, but at least he got to spend a nice 4 days with us. In those 4 days, all of us took a trip to Stone Island (which is really a small peninsula) and went snorkeling and horse back riding, attended the famous Fiesta Mexicana at the Playa Mázatlan Hotel, drove to two towns about 50 km away, and generally just goofed off.
Enough with the blabber... On to the pics!

This is one of many sunset pics. Imagine seeing this right outside of your balcony every evening. =)

Taken from the entrance side of our room. This was a time exposure shot, so the blurry lights at the bottom
right of the pic are of cars' headlights.

Another sunset shot.

I fell asleep on the balcony one evening and woke up to this little guy looming directly above me on the balcony's
ceiling. Poor fella got a little fazed by the camera's flash.

Mom and Claire messing around on the beach.
