Pics at Work

On some of our slower days, we get to goof around at work. Every once in a while, I'll bring my digital camera and take some random shots. Here are some of 'em...

The wash bay at the deployment center. This was my old rig when I was still on the Alameda-dedicated shift.

Can you pick out my car? There are only four choices. Come on now!

Our particular maintenance center also takes care of body work and paint jobs for a lot of other counties. This modular rig was heading out to Maui. I offered to accompany it on its trip, but they wouldn't have any of it. =( Check out the logo as well--it even has the Hawai'ian islands on it!

An old promo shot of me and my old partner, Deborah, in front of Alameda Hospital.

One of the cool things about the Alameda bus was being able to go to the old Alameda Naval Base. I thought this mural was a nice throwback to the era when seaplanes were still a popular method of travel.

Half of the time spent at work is just trying to find something to do. Here, Deborah's apartment hunting at Starbucks, nonetheless. =)

The Webster tunnel.

Whoa, someone who's actually doing some work! She's yet another one of my old, regular partners. Sara's actually logging on at the beginning of our shift.

"Are you done, yet?.. What about now?.. Now are you done?" Sara's getting a head-start on the paperwork.

This was a crazy day and we ended up going onto the beach and taking some goofy pics. Purty eyes, no?

A whole lotta units doing a whole lotta nuthin'! Hahaha... I never saw so many rigs parked at the same location at once and I thought it was funny enough to take a shot.

Meet my ex-partner extraordinaire, Lisa. We're posted up in the San Leandro hills...

Here's a better shot of the view from the hills.

Handling post, baby!

In the parking lot at Kaiser Hayward around 2000 hrs.
Back Row: Larry (who has some kick-ass Irish drinking music!), Beth, and Lisa
Front: Me

Here we see 6'-3" Dalibor checking his rig in the morning and packing up the stair chair. Could you believe that little ol' me at 5'-6.5" used to work with this tall bastard?! =)

Who the hell's driving now--Lisa or the chicken?!..

This is what Lisa and I look like when we pull up onscene half the time. Scared, yet? Hahaha...
