When you see this, it means "Move to the right and stop, dumbass!" Some drivers do stupid things when they see emergency vehicles all lit up in their mirrors and hear the sirens blaring. I've had people give me the finger, stop in front of me instead of pulling over as far to the right as possible, and have refused to move altogether and make room for us. If people could go on ride-alongs with us and see how potentially stressful Code 3 driving can be, they can never appreciate what it's like.

Check out the full moon in the background. The freaks tend to come out en masse when the full moon's out for some reason...

Here's my old, poor rig. A drunk driver slammed into the front end one early morning. The right front wheel was obviously ripped off and substantial damage done to the front end. Thankfully, the crew wasn't hurt too bad. Be safe out there, guys...

Only the steering arm tie rod was holding the front wheel in place. The remaining 3 tires were all popped due to sidewall failure; must've gone over a tall curb or something.

Inside the crew compartment... You can't tell in the pictures, but it looks like the clipboard was left on top of the passenger's side dash. When the airbags fired, the clipboard got slammed into the windshield and two of the clipboard's corners cracked and starred the windshield.

Is this thing cool or what? No, it doesn't have that infamous Klaxon-type siren that the Ghostbusters' Caddy had!

Just trying to keep cool at Highland after a call on a hot day. That's Karen at the left, Steve (our trainee), and me.
